CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - Two toddlers and a woman are in critical condition after a two-vehicle accident Monday evening.
Cleveland police arrived at the scene of the crash in the 3000 block of East 116th Street around 6:45 p.m.
According to officers, the woman with the two toddlers in her car was driving westbound on Parkhill Avenue and had the green light at the E. 116th Street intersection.
A 40-year-old man was speeding on E. 116th Street and ran the red light, crashing into the woman’s car, said police.
Police said the impact spun the woman’s car into a utility pole on the corner.
The 22-year-old woman, a two-year-old girl and an 11-month-old girl all had to be cut out of their vehicle by Cleveland firefighters.
Their names are not being released.
The 40-year-old driver of the second vehicle was also injured and transported to University Hospitals. His name and condition are not being released.
Police said the crash remains under investigation and no charges have been filed at this time.
