CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - A 29-year-old Cleveland man was killed in a car vs motorcycle accident in the city’s Old Brooklyn neighborhood Tuesday evening.
The crash happened at Leopold Avenue and State Road just before 8 p.m..
Cleveland police said the motorcyclist was speeding southbound on State Road and the driver of a GMC Terrain was traveling northbound on State Road.
According to police, the driver of the GMC made a left turn to travel westbound on Leopold Avenue and into the path of the motorcyclist.
The front end of the motorcycle collided with the right front passenger door of the GMC, said police.
The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner identified the victim as Eugene A. Smith.
Police added Smith was pronounced dead at the scene and was not wearing a helmet.
